I Am Angry - EP (2014)

This album is an autobiographical text-piece or memory narrative, a self-reflective series of songs that use different musical techniques to sample music, people, and media that have been important in my self-formation as a bi-racial american. This album was catalyzed by my concurrent courses on Social Groups in American Politics and Post-Vernacular Music Composition at Brown University.

The following songs are reflections of a still continuing process of self-formation and reflection as to what my identity has meant to me. The songs were made using samples from many different media sources that were important to me throughout my life ranging from Civil Rights leaders to Pokemon. The musical form depends on the semantic content in the samples and is highlighted by the music itself. Thank you for listening.
